nothing worth doing comes free of charge

In today’s world we are faced with “instant success.

We see it all the time in a number of situations :

Firstly on the Internet, there are so many “get rich schemes” that promise so much for so little effort.

No doubt, you have seen many advertisements like these:

“Our 12-year old son earned $10,000 in his first month”

“Even my granny can do this”

The plain fact of the matter is that 95% of people who try to make a living online do not make any money at all.

Certainly, there are a number of very wealthy marketers who earn millions of dollars a year.

However, if you speak to them, most of them will tell you it took many years of hard work, with lots of mistakes made along the way.

Secondly on the TV

Nowadays we see lots of talent shows, where instant success is “guaranteed”.

Sadly, this is rarely the case. Although it is true that some people achieve short-term success, most times this is not sustained. People may have started in a restaurant, dreaming of success, and get spotted. Some will make it, but many will not get through the rounds on the talent shows. Very often, the people end up serving in a restaurant again, which is very hard to take.

We also see entertainers who are successful and think that they have been an overnight success, or who have it easy. Rarely, have these people suddenly made it. Normally they have been working for many years, before they become “overnight stars”. One example of how hard people work is:

Billy Joel who has sold over 150 million records worldwide, but it was a long hard road to success. He dropped out of high school to pursue his dream of becoming a musician. However, my the time he reached 22 years of age he had been playing in bars, was broke and was no longer living at home.

When his girl friend left him, he became very depressed and was close to taking his own life. He booked into a mental institution, which changed his life, and he came out determined to succeed.

The rest is history as he became one of the best-selling artists of all time.

Here is a good example of “nothing worth doing comes free of charge”.

Thirdly sports people

Nowadays sport is covered so well in the media. We watch many of the most successful sports people, many of whom are very wealthy. Many young people want to emulate this success and decide to go into the sport of their choice.

That may be football, athletics, tennis ,golf , baseball, basketball or any other sport that appeals. We see the wealth of athletes like Tiger Woods, Michael Jordan, Roger Federer and many young people dream of the riches.

However, few people realise how hard these athletes have worked to reach the very top. I have covered the stories of a number of these but here are a few :

Michael Jordan is one of the world’s greatest basketball players.

He famously quoted:

“I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career.

I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed.

I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”

He didn’t give up, he kept on until he became arguably the best ever basketball player.

In 1999 he was named the greatest North American athlete of the 20th Century by ESPN.

In 2015, he became the first billionaire NBA player in history.

Another classic case of “nothing worth doing comes free of charge.”

Carl Lewis is another great example

Most people would be happy with 1 Olympic Gold Medal, but Carl want an incredible 4 gold medals.

This could not have been done without a lot of dedication, hard work and determination.

Carl Lewis was an outstanding athlete.

Not only did he plan winning 4 Olympic gold medals at the 1984 Los Angeles games,

but in total he won 9 Olympic gold medals and 1 silver medal.

No other athlete has retained the Olympic long jump title, but Lewis went on to win 4

consecutive Olympic long jump medals from 1984 until 1996, which is a remarkable achievement.

His accomplishments have led to numerous accolades, including being voted

“World Athlete of the Century” by the IAAF

“Sportsman of the Century” by the International Olympic Committee,

“Olympian of the Century” by Sports Illustrated and “Athlete of the Year” by Track & Field News in 1982, 1983, and 1984.

Yet another example of “nothing worth doing comes free of charge.

Jesse Owens is not a name that many people know as his achievements took place in 1936.

Owens specialized in the sprints and the long jump and was recognized in his lifetime as “perhaps the greatest and most famous athlete in track and field history”

It was in the summer Olympics of 1936 where he achieved fame in Germany, where Adolf Hitler did not look favourably on black people. It is remarkable with such hostility that Jesse Owen won 4 Olympic gold medals in:

Long jump

100 metres

200 metres

4 x 100 metres relay

To win 1 gold medal is a superb achievement, so to win 4 in such hostile conditions demonstrates the belief that Jesse Owens could indeed do anything he wanted.

A remarkable athlete, who demonstrated what can be achieved with hard work and determination.

Conclusion

It is no doubt true that some people achieve success without too much effort.

Many people dream of success, but those that don’t achieve that success, normally don’t have the determination to succeed. It takes lots of hard work.

Many people will doubt us.

Some will tell us to give up.

There will be obstacles on the road to success.

There will be failures along the way.

However “nothing worth doing comes free of charge” as can be seen from the examples of the struggles encountered by Billy Joel, Michael Jordan and Carl Lewis. Just a few of the many who have found  “Nothing worth doing comes free of charge.”

make money off youtube

There is no doubt that the Internet has given us all many opportunities, one of which is how to make money off YouTube. When looking at any opportunity to make money we need to consider the channel we use to market our products or services.

Over the last few years many people have found ways to make money off YouTube and those opportunities will continue. Here are a number of reasons we should look to make money off YouTube:

1 YouTube has over a billion users, which is almost 1/3 of all the people on the Internet. We therefore know that whatever niche we are in and whatever products or services we offer that there is a substantial market to address.

2 Another factor we should consider is whether the channel we use is likely to be around in the future. Whereas we can make no guarantees, YouTube is very stable as Google bought it just 18 months after it’s creation. This means that we should feel very comfortable when we are looking to make money off YouTube as both companies are leaders and have become significant contributors in Internet Marketing.

3 We have already mentioned that there is a substantial market in YouTube but another factor is that it is possible to navigate YouTube in 95 different languages, covering 95% of the Internet population. This is a very important factor as most people like to buy from a channel in their own language. It makes them feel important and that the supplier has considered their own needs.

4 When considering how to make money off YouTube, many people do not realise that YouTube is the second largest search engine in the world after Google. Increasingly people like to see how to do things rather than read about them. This gives us all great opportunities.

5 Increasingly we are all using mobile devices more and more. If we are looking to make money off YouTube, we need to make sure that we can appeal to the mobile users. As of March 2019, 70% of YouTube’s traffic came from mobile devices, which demonstrates how well this marketplace is covered.

It is also forecast that watching videos on mobiles will overtake traditional TV viewing. Again, it is difficult to predict the future, but all indications are that we will continue to grow our usage of mobile devices.

6 Another factor when considering whether we can make money off YouTube is whether other people have done this. Fortunately, we are well covered here as it is estimated that there are 1.8 million revenue-earning YouTube users in the USA alone. Throughout the world, people have found ways to make money off YouTube.

7 However good our product or service is we need to make sure that we can be found on the Internet. Many people believe that it is easier to be found on YouTube than on Google. This is a difficult one to answer but if you enter almost any search term in Google you will normally see 2 or 3 YouTube videos on the first page. Although Google will not admit this, but because they own YouTube it is believed they favour videos. If that is the case, that will help us all when we try to make money of YouTube, as we may be found both on Google and YouTube.

8 Increasingly these days, we become more impatient and don’t spend too much time reading on the Internet. Fortunately, for us this is not the case with videos as it is estimated that 65% of viewers watch at least 75% of a video, giving us more chance to convert our viewers into buyers.

9 To show the huge potential of video marketing, as many as 98% of people said they preferred to watch a video, when they want to learn about a new product or service. This is very encouraging in our desire to make money off YouTube.

These are very encouraging reasons to want to make money off YouTube, but many people do not want to make videos or do not have the expertise to do this.

No technical skills required

Fortunately, you do not need to make videos to make money off YouTube. As we have mentioned above, there are billions of videos on YouTube, and fortunately YouTube allows us to use many of these videos ourselves.

However, you cannot take any video, you need to know which ones you can use.

Once you have found a video you want to use, you cannot just use it as that is regarded by YouTube as duplicating. Fortunately, YouTube gives us the tools to change these videos and make them our own.

Another benefit is that these videos and tools are FREE, which really will help us to make money off YouTube.

Hopefully, by now you are getting excited and can see the potential to make money off YouTube. However, you need to make sure that this is a genuine opportunity that YOU can manage.

In our report, we show testimonials of people who are making money with no technical experience. As there are so many videos being loaded every day, you can continue to make money every week, month and year.

As with all such opportunities, the amount of money you make is dependent on how much time you would like to spend.

Even if you have a full-time or part-time job, as long as you can devote a few hours to this, you should be able to make money off YouTube.

If you are concerned that you may not have the knowledge, as mentioned above many other people with no technical knowledge have manged to find a way to make money off YouTube. However, in the event that you need help, there is one on one coaching.

This sort of offer is rarely available on the Internet today, and obviously such an offer is limited. If you would like to trial this offer, please watch the video below and click the link below the video.

How to get more views on YouTube by leaving comments

You have taken the trouble to load your video onto YouTube and obviously you want to attract viewers.

There are a number of ways of doing this as you will see from my other articles and videos. This article and video are about posting comments on other videos.

The first question you may ask is :

“Why leave comments on other videos ?”

The answer is that if you leave a meaningful comment, other viewers may see it and if it is a good answer they may visit your channel and videos.

Here are the steps that I take :

1 Find other videos in your niche.

For example, if you are interested in dog training just type “dog training” into the YouTube search bar.

At the moment that will result in over 8 million results, which you want to reduce.

2 Use the filter

A lot of videos may have been there a long time,so I use the filter and select those loaded this year. This reduces it slightly, but we still have over 7 million results.

There are other filters that you can use, and I like the relevance filter.

3 Open a spreadsheet

I then open a spreadsheet. You can use Excel if you have Microsoft Office but if you haven’t bought that you can use Google docs which is free and very similar to Excel.

4 Select some videos

I then look through the videos and see which ones interest me from the thumbnail and the title.

When I watch the video I look at the number of views, comments and the dates of the comments.

What I am looking for are videos that have had recent comments

5 Enter the details on the spreadsheet

On the spreadsheet I record the YouTube URL, the number of views and the number of comments. I normally track 20-30 videos.

6 Start to comment

This is the important part, so it is worth taking some time to do it properly.

I normally watch the video and take some notes after which I make a comment.

The comment should not be spammy and should not be trying to sell anything.

“Great video, keep up the good work” is unlikely to entice anybody to watch your video.

If you want an idea of what to comment, look at some of the other comments and see what would make you click through to the commenter’s video.

I try to make the comment relevant by picking out something in the video. This shows that I have watched the video.

I also try to make it personal,so if the name of the person is included I use that name in the comment.

7 Comment consistently

This is quite time consuming, so I try not to do too much. You may start with 2 comments a day. If you do that, try and be consistent and do it every day. It is often quoted that if you do the same thing every day, it becomes a habit.

Conclusion

This is well worth doing, but it can be time consuming. If you cannot commit the time, it is better to use one of the other methods of getting more views.

An unexpected bonus, is that you will probably learn things about your niche, which you can use for your own article and video.

How to automatically post your YouTube video to social media sites

Once you have taken the trouble to make a video and load it to YouTube, there are a lot of other sites where you can post it.

There is no need to buy software as YouTube actually helps you to do this.

Within YouTube, it is possible to post to these sites :

LinkedIn

Pinterest

Tumblr

Reddit

Blogger

Google +

Twitter

Facebook

StumbleUpon

These are all high authority sites and are well worth posting to.

Once you have set up an account with each of theses sites, it is very easy to post to them and it literally only takes a few minutes.

Please watch the short video below to see how easy it is to do.

Please contact me if you have any questions or comments.

How to start a YouTube Channel for your business

By now, we should all know the benefits of having a presence on YouTube.

These include:

1 People prefer to watch a video these days, rather than read a lot of text.

When people want to learn about a new product or service, as many as 98% said they preferred to watch a video.

2 Video can increase your sales

It is estimated that adding a product video to your landing page can increase your conversions by 80%.

3 Videos are more appealing to mobile users

We have all seen the growth of mobile usage over the last few years and it is forecast that this growth will continue.

More than half of video viewing is now done on mobile phones.

It is also forecast that watching videos on mobiles will overtake traditional TV viewing.

Quite simply, people find it easy to watch a video while on the go, than scrolling through trying to read lots of text.

4 YouTube is the second largest search engine in the world, so it is well worth having a presence.

YouTube Channel-what is it ?

Now that we have covered the benefits, let’s discuss what a YouTube channel is.

You may have lots of interests with videos on subjects such as golf, photography, dog breeding, etc.

If a golfer is looking on your YouTube account, he/she may not wish to look through your videos on photography and dog breeding.

To overcome this, we would have separate channels for each of our interests.

If you are looking for viewers, it is estimated that YouTube visitors are watching around 6 billion hours of video every month.

You only need a small part of that to have a viable business.

In order to customize your YouTube channel, you need the following :

1 Channel icon- this should either be a photo of yourself or your brand.

2 Channel art-personally, I use a site called www.canva.com, which is free and enables you to design your own channel art.

I have made a separate video to show how this is done.

There is a link below.

3 Channel description-this tells your viewers all about your channel.

Conclusion

That is basically how you set up your YouTube channel.

For further details, please refer to the video below.

In addition, I will be adding further videos on YouTube marketing.

Video Marketing – 7 good reasons why

There is no doubt that the use of video in content marketing is on the rise.  One of the largest video sites, YouTube , is now the second largest search engine on the web. One of the reasons is that when people are looking how to do something they prefer to watch a video rather than read text.

Here are 7 reasons why you should be involved in video marketing :

1 Improved rankings in the search engines.

Many of us have believed that it is easier to rank on YouTube rather than on the search engines. However, the surprising result is that, according to ComScore, adding a video to your web site can increase the chance of a front page Google result by 53 times.

2 Video can increase your sales

It is estimated that adding a product video to your landing page can increase your conversions by 80%.

3 Higher Engagement

Whenever we are posting a video or a text post, we are looking for our audience to engage with us. It is believed that viewers are 10 times more likely to embed, share and comment on video content than on text based posts.

4 Videos are more appealing to mobile users

We have all seen the growth of mobile usage over the last few years and it is forecast that this growth will continue.

More than half of video viewing is now done on mobile phones.

It is also forecast that watching videos on mobiles will overtake traditional TV viewing.

Quite simply, people find it easy to watch a video while on the go, than scrolling through trying to read lots of text.

5 Higher Retention Rates

When trying to rank in the search engines, companies like Google consider the amount of time spent on your web site. If people don’t stay on the site long, this is known as a high bounce rate and will not help your search engine rankings.

65%  of viewers watch at least 75% of a video, which is much higher than with text based posts.

6 It Is Easier To Learn From Video

Nowadays, people increasingly use video to learn.

When people want to learn about a new product or service, as many as 98% said they preferred to watch a video.

7 Better Email Click Throughs

Email marketing is still very strong. The use of videos in emails has shown to double the click through rate.

Conclusion

In conclusion, there are very compelling reasons to make use of videos in our marketing campaigns.

Looking to the future,it is forecast that we will be using video more and more,so it is a good time to start now.

Below is an example of a video.

This is with music, but it could also be with voice.
